Guided tour: Ker Stears Castle

Push open the doors of this neo-Gothic château, nicknamed the Hogwarts of Brest. Discover the story of the Stears family, who came to Brest in 1841 to work on the public lighting concession, and were behind the construction of the gasworks. The château, their home, was built on the cliffs of Saint-Marc at the end of the 19th century.

The visit will reveal its evolution, from the time of the wife Stears, who became Countess Rodellec du Portzic, to the Fénelon course run by the Retraite sisters, to today's Lycée Fénelon in the Estran school group.
